This is a picture of Lliswerry Junior School as it was before being rebuilt, and when I and Lavinia (who kindly supplied the picture) attended in the 1950's. The main entrance was to the right of this picture.

Lavinia (Dalton as she was then known) lived in Nash Road, about 200 yards to the left of this picture, near what is now Hampshire Avenue. That was once known as Cheshire Avenue when 'prefabs' stood there. There were also allotments at the rear of them, but those vanished when the the 'prefabs' and the rebuilding and renaming took place.
